From farm to roast to cup — every step shapes the flavour you taste.
Great coffee isn't an accident. It's the result of dozens of small decisions, made carefully, from the moment a cherry is picked to the second it lands in your cup. At Treat, we obsess over every one of them.
It starts with the beans. We work only with 100% Arabica, specialty-grade coffee — beans that score 80+ on the Specialty Coffee Association scale. That grade isn't a marketing line; it's a standard. It means each origin has been cupped, scored and chosen for its character: the sweetness, the clarity, the story in the cup. We taste a lot of coffee so that only the best of it ever reaches you.
Then we bring it home. Every batch is shipped to our roastery in Cape Town, where we roast in-house, in small batches, by hand. Small batches give us control — the ability to coax the best out of each origin and roast it to its peak rather than to a schedule. We're chasing sweetness, balance and clarity in every roast, and we won't sign off on a batch until it's right.
And we don't cut corners after that, either. From our specialty freeze-drying process that locks in flavour, to the way each blend is profiled for how you'll actually drink it, everything we make is carefully curated. No shortcuts. No compromise.
